Angela Hartnett is looking for a Sous Chef to join the team at Murano Restaurant in Queen Street Mayfair.
Murano is a Michelin-starred restaurant in the heart of Mayfair, led by Angela Hartnett. For over 17 years, we’ve built a reputation for consistency, high standards and a strong team culture. Our cooking is Modern European with a strong Italian influence, rooted in great ingredients and simple, well-executed food.
We’re looking for a Sous Chef with experience in Michelin-starred or high-level kitchens. You should be confident technically, have a good understanding of Italian flavours and seasonality, and take real pride in the details. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef, Angela, and Development Chef Em Brightman, supporting menu development and helping bring new dishes to life.
This is a very hands-on role. You’ll be on the pass, running sections, supporting the team during service and helping keep standards high across the kitchen. A big part of the role is training and supporting junior chefs, leading by example and helping the brigade develop.
You’ll also support the Head Chef with day-to-day organisation, stock, hygiene and food costs, and be ready to step up when needed. We’re looking for someone calm, reliable and consistent — someone who can handle busy services without drama.
Most importantly, you should care about the people you work with. We value a positive, respectful kitchen and strong teamwork, and the Sous Chef plays a key role in setting that tone. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and General Manager to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
